Rev. Prentis Harris III, aka “Pastor Trey,” is a native of Robeson County, from the Prospect Community. He attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2009. During his time at UNC of Pembroke he was called
into pastoral ministry which led him to pursue a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity. After graduation in May 2013, he was appointed to serve Sandy Plains United Methodist Church of Pembroke, NC. While serving Sandy Plains he met his wife Jessica, and they started a family. In 2017, he was appointed to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Burlington, NC. During this tenure he became an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2021. Pastor Trey has a heart to see lives changed through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He believes that all
people need God’s grace, mercy, and love. He tries to live by a motto, “May your life preach more loudly than your lips.” Pastor Trey and family (Jessica, Wesley, and Iyla) looks forward to having a fruitful ministry at
Hope Mills United Methodist Church. He invites you to come and worship with us and let us grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
