Hope Mills UMC was a charter member that established an ecumenical ministry called “Associated Local Ministries in Service, Helping Others in Unfortunate Situations & Experiences” or ALMS HOUSE.
ALMS HOUSE assists with utilities, medicine, food, clothing, household items, school supplies and Bibles. They provide Love Lunches each day at the Ellison St. location. Meals are received from the Salvation Army and no one is turned away.
The ALMS HOUSE coordinates with the Hope Mills area school social workers through KAP, Kids Assistance Program, to deliver bags to children on Friday who might otherwise have nothing to eat over the weekend. We are determined that no child should go hungry!
