Dear Hope Mills United Methodist Family,
Because of the concern over the COVID-19 pandemic, Bishop Hope Morgan Ward, the episcopal leader of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church has asked the churches in our Annual Conference to “Cease Public Worship for the next eight weeks.” This means that all services and onsite meetings will be cancelled July. We have moved all meetings online and you can call in using your telephone as well.
As a caring Christian Community, we share concern for both the spiritual and the physical well-being of our congregation. Please be in prayer for those who are already affected by this virus and for the way in which we as God’s people may respond to human suffering. If you have a prayer request click the submit button below so we can pray for you.
Tim Davis, a beloved member of our church family, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. This disease has no earthly cure and progresses until the lungs can no longer take in needed oxygen. Tim got the good news that Duke had accepted him into their lung transplant program. As part of his transplant process he and wife, Dixie, will have to move to Durham for approximately six months. Our hope is that this fund will support whatever is not supported by insurance and will help with living expenses while in Durham. Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to Hope Mills United Methodist Church! We are a traditional United Methodist Church with contemporary touches. We offer worship services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am with Pastor Ellen McCubbin and Sunday School at 9:45. Our church nursery is available all morning for ages birth - 4 years old. We love all of our kids at HMUMC and welcome them to be a part of our worship services. We also have a time of fellowship with light refreshments after the 11:00 am service. Please stop by so we can introduce ourselves.
