We also host one of the largest and oldest Alcoholics Anonymous groups in Cumberland County.  Groups meet at the church on Sunday (Closed Discussion, 8:00 p.m.), Monday (Big Book, 8:00 p.m.) and Thursday (Alanon, 8:00 p.m.) evenings.

A closed meeting is limited to people with a desire to stop drinking.

An open meeting is open to anyone desiring to learn more about Alcoholics Anonymous.

Sunday- Open Discussion meeting. Chairperson brings up a topic for discussion that relates to alcoholism.

Monday- Big Book study. An in-depth study of our basic text.

Thursday- 1st and last Thursdays- Open Speaker meeting. Chairperson invites a member of AA to come and share their "story" (a little of their drinking experience, what happened to bring them to AA, and what living sober has been like).

Middle Thursdays- split up in to three meetings (Beginners- recommended for people with 90 days or less of sobriety; Discussion- chairperson will bring up a topic for discussion that relates to alcoholism; Step or Tradition- chairperson will lead a discussion on a pre-determined step or tradition of AA).

Free meeting schedules and AA literature are available at all meetings. Big Books are available for sale on Monday and Thursday nights. All other books related to recovery from alcoholism through AA can be purchased on Thursday nights. We also have a door prize on Thursday evenings. You can purchase 5 tickets for a dollar, and possibly win a book of your choice from those available for sale that evening. All sales from the door prizes go to purchase more books for door prizes.
